SUPPORT & F.A.Q.
for the free WMBR iPhone application.
The radio stream stops every once in a while. What can I do?
The WMBR app will sometimes stop playback if your connection to the Internet is weak (i.e. you have few bars on your mobile network or on WiFi). If you reduce your audio quality in the Preferences pane (accessible through the "i" button in the lower right corner of the Now Playing tab), you may reduce the number of audio drop-outs.
The app keeps prompting me to reduce the audio quality!
The WMBR app will ask you to reduce the audio quality if it detects that you have a poor connection to the Internet. This helps reduce the number of audio dropouts you may encounter. If you wish to stop the app from prompting, change the auto-quality settings in the Preferences pane (accessible through the "i" button in the lower right corner of the Now Playing tab). You may let the app automatically lower quality without asking you, or never let it reduce quality.
The Now Playing tab says "No Song Info Available" a lot, and when it doesn't, the song info is wrong! What gives?
The app obtains its playlist information live from Track-Blaster. Track-Blaster depends on information provided by WMBR DJs while they are on the air. Unfortunately, not all WMBR DJs make use of this service, so these playlists may not be available for all shows, and may show the previous show's playlist for some time after the show ends.
The app is displaying the wrong show! Can you fix this?
The WMBR app obtains its program information from the schedule on the WMBR website. Sometimes, DJs will be unable to be on the air and another DJ will fill-in. In these cases, the WMBR app will display the show that would normally air, much as the WMBR website will. We are working on ways to fix this issue.
The app crashes all the time!/The app isn't working properly!
We are sorry that the program isn't working for you! We regularly strive to eliminate any crashes we hear about so that we have the best radio app available on the iPhone. Unfortunately, you have probably encountered a bug we haven't seen yet. Although we review all crash reports we receive, we appreciate any additional information you can provide us. Please e-mail us at the support e-mail displayed to the left with any information you can provide about the crash (e.g. time of the crash, what you did before the crash, etc.).
