The Jeff Robinson Trio with double bassist Blake Newman, drummer Phil Neighbors and Jeff Robinson on saxophones have had a weekly residency at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge MA for more than 20 years. They accompany poetry and have performed with some of the best poets in the country. They've also recorded on Rounder Records and have featured in many local and national festivals.

Matt is inspired to bring back the lost art of popular instrumental music, combining the spirit of past instrumental giants like Duane Eddy, Link Wray and Booker T, with fuzz, psychedelic textures, and doses of garage rock, blues, afrobeat, cinematic and atmospheric soundscapes.
