When you hear Back Door Slam, you hear Muddy, Clapton, Hendrix, SRV and many of the great blues artists, but what you see are three very young blokes from the UK. But don't let their look fool you -- they pack a mighty punch when Davey Knowles shreds the guitar. BDS endeared themselves to me by playing a John Hiatt cover at this past year's SXSW festival (Ridin' with the King). Since then they've shared the stage with Lynryd Skynyrd and Kid Rock on the Rock & Rebels tour and now they will be touring with Gov't Mule. We'll get them fresh off the plane for an acoustic set before their first gig with the 'Mule later that night. And we'll also find out if they got the Hiatt cover from the BB King/Clapton recording or direct from Hiatt.
Location: 88.1 FM
