PATNAUSEAM (PatDemic Edition): Leaving on a Jet Plane

Originally known as Babe, I Hate To See You Go in 1966, John Denver reworked the tune one year later as "Leaving, on a Jet Plane" for the Mitchell Trio. That song still failed to connect even after Denver recorded the song until (sans comma) under his own name. A nearly simultaneous cover by Peter Paul & Mary however reached #1. John recorded the song a fourth time in a new arrangement for his 1973 greatest hits record. We'll hear two hours of versions, including an encouraging number of Jamaican covers.
