Burton Cummings, Former Lead Singer of The Guess Who, Interviewed Live on WMBR's Lost and Found Program

Burton Cummings, former lead singer, songwriter and keyboardist for The Guess Who, is scheduled to be interviewed by telephone by host Eli Polonsky at 1:30 PM EDT! From Winnipeg, Manitoba, Burton's first band in the early '60s was local R&B group The Deverons. He was asked to join Winnipeg rock'n'roll band The Guess Who in 1965. With Cummings as lead singer, keyboardist, and a principal songwriter, they scored 12 USA Top 40 hits (and many more in Canada) including the USA #1 hit "American Woman", and released ten successful albums during his tenure to 1975. Cummings' career after The Guess Who included hits in the USA and Canada from more than a dozen solo albums, and writing music and singing for major films. He continued to record and perform solo and with many collaborations. His many accolades include membership in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Walk of Fame. Cummings' "Up Close And Alone" tour, including his Guess Who hits and solo works, will be at the Berklee Performance Center on October 3rd. Listen for your chance to win tickets!
