Back in pre-Covid March 2020, an interview was conducted with Peter Kaukonen, briefly a member of Jefferson Airplane, as well as Jefferson Starship for their 1970 "Blows Against the Empire" LP. A show he was in with the unwieldy title of "The Airplane Family with Live Dead ’69 perform the 50th Anniversary of “Blows Against the Empire”" had been scheduled in Derry, NH...but had to cancel. On Thursday, October 21, the group makes good with an appearance at the brand new Crystal Ballroom at the Somerville Theatre. It's time to unearth the unaired interview with the beguiling Peter Kaukonen (yes, brother to Jorma), who takes center stage in this 2-hour special.
