Eli Polonsky's Annual Jerry Garcia (Pre)-Birthday Tribute Show and Grateful Dead Movie Ticket Giveaway on WMBR's Lost & Found Program

Former Tuesday "Lost & Found" host Eli Polonsky is making a one-off return to WMBR to fill in on Friday, July 27 to present his annual birthday tribute to Jerry Garcia program. August 1st would have been Jerry Garcia's 76th birthday. As in past years, the show will begin with his earliest recordings with early '60s Bay Area folk, bluegrass and jug bands, and end with his last performance with The Grateful Dead on July 9, 1995 in Chicago. In between, lots of historic released and unreleased Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia solo band collaborations, Jerry as a sideman with other musicians, and as many examples of Jerry's 30+ year musical career that can fit into two hours. This show will again offer ticket giveaways for the annual national "Grateful Dead Meetup at the Movies" night in theaters in and around greater Boston on Garcia's birthday August 1st. This year's feature is the Grateful Dead's July 7, 1989 concert at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia in its entirety.
