Two Hour Special and Interview with Paul Rodgers of Free and Bad Company on WMBR's Lost & Found Program

Paul Rodgers has lived a multifarious musical half century, the first stretch from 1968-73 as vocalist in British blues rock band Free (which also featured guitarist extraordinaire Paul Kossoff), whose blockbuster 1970 hit "All Right Now" is still a warhorse on classic rock radio. Next up: joining with Mick Ralphs of Mott the Hoople fame to form Bad Company, a powerhouse hard rock group that immediately began racking up a seemingly endless string of hits from 1974-82, among them "Feel Like Making Love," "Can't Get Enough, and "Rock 'n Roll Fantasy." Paul went on to form The Firm with Jimmy Page in the '80s, The Law with Kenney Jones (Faces, The Who) in the '90s, and then sang with Queen for some years in the oughts. Our purview, as is Lost & Found's wont, centers on the '60s and '70s, so we'll be focusing on the music of both Free and Bad Company, which will complement a lengthy interview with Mr. Rodgers himself. The Stars Align Tour featuring Paul Rodgers, Jeff Beck and Ann Wilson of Heart come to the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston on Friday, August 3.
