Sitars in the '70s (1970/1971) Part 1

The sitar exploded in the '60s in pop/rock songs, many of them hits, or at least pretty well known among free-form FM radio listeners. In 2020 we did six shows on sitars from that decade. Now, two years later, we venture forth into the '70s, when the bands/songs utilizing this classical Indian instrument are more obscure...but just as psychedelic. Except soul hits, some of which adopted the Americanized "electric" sitar. We'll include a handful of those as well. The focus is on 1970 and 1971 for the first three shows. The following three will deal with sitar-laden tracks from 1972-1974. Yes, we will stop there. What's six more shows with sitar when you're having fun...and tripping.
