Back in 1965, when British blues rock was a force just getting reckoned with, Savoy Brown formed with their smashing lead guitarist Kim Simmonds leading the way. Their first album arrived in 1967, followed by 13 more until the end of the '70s, and throughout and beyond the band kept changing...until by last count they had gone through 60 members and 33 line-ups! Kim has remained to carry on the tradition. Yes, you probably remember the fabulous hit "Tell Mama," but this was a band whose whole albums and live shows carried them. Plus Foghat (far bigger hit-makers) was formed by three guys who jumped Simmonds' ship...but brought with them plenty of the SB sensibility. Hosted by Bob Dubrow.
