This program spotlights one of the greatest riddims in Reggae history: Real Rock. Best known to WMBR listeners by its descendant Armagideon Time (covered by the Clash), the Real Rock riddim features a memorable keyboard riff by Jackie Mittoo and bass by Boris Gardiner. We'll hear multiple Jamaican variations on this riddim and plentiful hip hop songs that sampled it.
