Jamaican keyboardist Jackie Mittoo and his Soul Vendors created the landmark riddim "Darker Shade of Black" riddim in 1967 that bears more than a passing resemblance to Norwegian Wood (Bird Has Flown) by obscure Liverpool beat combo. We'll listen to two hours of songs interpreting and interpolating the Beatles and the great riddim.
