Another WMBR begathon has concluded and to show our appreciation/exhaustion for listener generosity, this week's PatNauseum explores William DeVaughn indie soul smash, "Be Thankful For What You Got." Recorded in 1972, but not released for another two years, the song is iconic for its quasi-chorus: "Diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin' the scene, with a gangsta lean."
