Double Duty this Friday with two great acts: First, the Blue Ribbon Boys & Julia Gottlieb bring their hot Country swing and Old Time jazz to the 3 Ring Circus at 4:15 p.m. Formed by members of Jim, Jennie & the Pinetops as a bluegrass band they morphed into the noir stylings of the Blue Ribbon Boys. Led by the shennanagens of vocalist Julia Gottlieb singing about Godzilla, King Kong, Bartlett pears and instrumental hijinx of the theremin, strings, and keys laughingly playing alongside. Hot swing and then some. Then, at 5 p.m. Reid Paley brings his gritty blues, dark tales, and fuzz guitar for a visit to his latest musing Approximate Hellhound vs the Monkey Demon. You'll want to catch the action and see who wins... though with Reid there are no winners or losers, only survivors.
