Harry Smith and His "Anthology of American Folk Music"

Harry Smith's "Anthology of American Folk Music" helped to spark the 1960s revival in traditional American music. Through Dec. 1, Harvard University's Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts has a show of his art over a range of genres, "Fragments of a Faith Forgotten: The Art of Harry Smith." On Friday, the Carpenter Center will host a symposium on Smith. On Sunday, a few of his films will be shown. Sept. 26's "Troubadour" will feature songs from his "Anthology."
