Bill Kreutzmann met Jerry Garcia while working in a Bay Area music store in the early '60s. They soon formed The Warlocks, changing their name to The Grateful Dead in 1965. Kreutzmann remained with the Dead for over thirty years until their dissolution following Garcia's passing in 1995.
