[THIS IS A REBROADCAST FROM 4/23/2019, IN TRIBUTE TO TERRY REID ON HIS PASSING AT AGE 75 ON AUGUST 4TH.] OK, yeah, there is Terry's legend as being the guy Jimmy Page asked to be lead singer during the formation of Led Zeppelin. Needless to say, that didn't happen, but Terry did recommend Robert Plant in his place, indicative of his generosity and an unfailing refusal to have regrets since. Terry's voice was among the best from the '60s-'70s era, along with Plant, Rodgers, Morrison, and Marriott. Not a prolific artist, mostly due to record label troubles, he nonetheless released five albums from 1968-1979, with songs ranging from soul screamers to rolling jazz folk reflections to, of course, the rock. He's a born storyteller, exhibited in full in this rollicking interview.
