Franco Luambo Makiadi is considered by many to be Africa's greatest and most beloved musician. This weekend marks the 20th anniversary of his death. Africa Kabisa will devote a special 2-hour program to celebrating the life and legacy of Franco and TPOK Jazz, and discussing "Le Gran Maître's" immeasurable importance to Congolese and African music. Joining us by phone will be Congolese music expert Ken Braun from Stern's Music.
