To help prepare for Labor Day, society's fleeting recognition of the worker, we focus on Nat Adderly's 1960 jazz standard Work Song. Oscar Brown added lyrics evoking violence, brutal chain gangs and involuntary slavery of incarceration. This show was suggested by Late Risers Club/Lost & Found DJ Mark Francis. So blame him for two hours of vocal and instrumental versions of this classic.
