Roy Davis and the Dregs join WMBR's 3RC June 27 at 5 p.m. playing songs from their most recent release Deadweight. This Portland, ME trio is visiting in advance to their Lizard Lounge appearance on July 4. Roy Davis & the Dregs is reminiscent of Whiskeytown, Wilco, and many great alt-country bands. Although familiar in sound, the song writing - with references to the X-files - sets Davis apart from the pack. Expect lots of twang and plenty of heart.
