Percy Mayfield's 1960 a cappella demo became Ray Charles' big band #1 song smash for ABC records in 1961. A vocal pas de deux with the Raelets, Charles rode the song to #1. The song inspired several dozen French versions as well as a token sonic ripostes, including one from Nina. We'll hear all that and more (or less) during Subject to Change. Dedicate this show to the political incumbent of your choice!
