Legendary musician, producer and songwriter Al Kooper is scheduled to join host Eli Polonsky LIVE in the studio from 12 noon to 2 PM EDT!
Al Kooper began his career as a sideman, producer and songwriter in the late 1950s. In the '60s he played on Bob Dylan's albums "Blonde On Blonde" and "Highway 61 Revisited", was the principal member of the influential group The Blues Project, and formed the group Blood, Sweat, and Tears, performing and writing for its debut album "Child Is Father To The Man". Kooper also produced and performed on the album "Super Session" with Mike Bloomfield and Stephen Stills, and went on to perform on albums by George Harrison, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Cream, The Who, and many more.
Kooper will be performing a special tribute concert to his late musical colleague Mike Bloomfield with guitarist Jimmy Vivino at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston on Thursday, May 31. Listen for your chance to win tickets!
