Singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist David Bromberg will be interviewed by telephone by host Eli Polonsky at about 1:30 PM! David began studying guitar as a teenager in the late 1950s, and in the 1960s he drifted into the Greenwich Village folk scene, where he learned from the Reverend Gary Davis.
The comprehensive list of musicians that he has performed or recorded with over the following four decades includes Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Tom Paxton, Jerry Jeff Walker, Al Kooper, Jorma Kaukonen, Tom Rush, Jerry Garcia, John Prine, Willie Nelson, Dr. John and Levon Helm, among many others. David currently tours in different configurations including his Quartet, his Big Band, and as a solo performer.
The David Bromberg Quartet will be performing with Loudon Wainwright III opening on Thursday, June 14, at the Somerville Theatre. Listen for your chance to win tickets!
