Guitarist and singer/songwriter Paul Barrere of Little Feat is scheduled to be interviewed by phone by host Eli Polonsky at approximately 12:30 PM!
Little Feat formed in 1969 performing their unique brand of roots rock'n'roll influenced by funk, blues, jazz, country, rockabilly, and New Orleans swamp boogie. A popular touring attraction throughout the '70s, they released a series of albums that enjoyed widespread FM radio airplay. Barrere joined in 1973 for their classic album "Dixie Chicken".
Little Feat disbanded in 1979 following the death of founder Lowell George in 1979. Barrere and founding keyboardist Bill Payne reformed the group in 1988 including current members Fred Tackett, Kenny Gradney and Sam Clayton, and Gabe Ford replaced founding drummer Richie Hayward following his passing in 2009. Their latest CD "Rooster Rag" was released last year on Rounder Records.
Little Feat will be appearing with the legendary Leon Russell at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston on Sunday, January 13. Listen for your chance to win tickets!
