Amidon is a Vermont born, avant-folk artist who records for Nonesuch Records and Iceland's Bedroom Community label. He has pioneered creative modern re-imaginations of old folk songs. His new LP, Lily-O, was recorded with jazz guitarist Bill Frisell. The Independent raved: "Amidon's ability to imbue traditional songs with an ahistorical immediacy has never been better realised."
