Guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin and lap steel virtuoso and singer-songwriter John McEuen, co-founder of pioneering country-folk-rock group The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (NGDB), is scheduled for a telephone interview with host Eli Polonsky at 12:15 PM!
John has performed for over 50 years, beginning in Bay Area folk clubs in the early '60s. He co-founded the NGDB in 1966, their 1971 Billboard Top Ten version of "Mr. Bojangles" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Among the more than 40 albums that John and NGDB combined have released was the 1971 Library of Congress "historic recording" "Will The Circle Be Unbroken".
