Jason Anick (violin), Olli Soikkeli (guitar), Max O'Rourke (guitar) and Greg Loughman (bass) are the men behind the wonderful string band, The Rhythm Future Quartet. Named after a composition of gypsy jazz icon, Django Rhienhardt, the quartet takes some of their musical cues from him, while adding jazz, classical, pop and original influences to their music. Their 2nd release, Travels, just came out late last month, and offers up a number of original compositions. They have a cd release party at Regattabar this Thursday the 8th at 7:30pm. Two days later they'll be in the studio with me playing some music and chatting about where they've been and where they're heading. Starting at 9:30 on the Lost Highway...
Location: 88.1 FM
