Originally aired:
Josh Rosenthal, president of Tompkins Square Records, has just released his first book, "The Record Store of the Mind," reminiscing on music, rare records, musicians that should have been known better, and more. He'll be reading at Deep Thoughts in Jamaica Plain later in the day, with Sam Moss performing live. At 8:30am he joins me in the studio to talk about the book, record bin finds and more.
Kelley Swindall grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Raised on country music, she's absorbed other influences, all of which have shaped her brand of the southern American gothic she writes and sings. Now living in NYC, she'll be in town at the Burren on Sunday April 3rd (7pm, in the round) and again on Monday (1pm, lunchtime gig). She joins me at 9:30 to play some songs and talk about her move to NYC and life on the road.
Location: 88.1 FM
