Shun Ng was born in Chicago and raised in Singapore. School wasn't quite the right fit, so Shun tried gymnastics which seemed a little more suited to him. It wasn't until he was 14, though, when a gymnastic teammate turned him on to the guitar, that he found his purpose. He spent a year at Berklee and then moved on to work on his own. Musical master Quincy Jones instantly appreciated his unique ability. The same goes for Magic Dick (from J. Geils) who has toured and recorded an ep with him. Shun will be performing at the Chevalier Theatre with the Shunettes on Saturday, February 18. This morning he'll stop by the WMBR studios at 9:30am. Expect an interesting discussion, as well as some stellar guitar work!
