The Klezwoods Perform Live on WMBR's Lost Highway Program

Start with a few strings (guitar, violin), add some horns (trumpet, clarinet, sousaphone), throw in drums, bass and an accordion, then stir in musical spices from the Balkans, North Africa and the Ottoman Empire.... and you might end up with a klezmer-based group called the Klezwoods. Around here, that's exactly what you'll get. They released their 3rd album last year. They called it Toy Monkey. It's cute, but no toy. They can play. They have a holiday show at Atwood's on Tuesday, December, 12 at 9:30pm. This morning a few members of the troupe will join me on air at 9:30am. We'll talk a bit, they'll play a bit!
