Jenny Scheinman is a violinist (fiddler in the Highway realm) who's performed and recorded with a slew of artists that have been heard on the Highway in the past -- Bill Frisell, Norah Jones, Madeleine Peyroux, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Danny Barnes, Marc Ribot and quite a few others. She's been among the favorite violinists at Downbeat Magazine for the last 5 years and has just released her 5th instrumental jazz-Americana influenced cd, "The Crossing". She's also released her first ever vocal recording, "Jenny Scheinman", which she'll be celebrating with a cd release party tonight at the MFA. Stopping by with her on the Highway this morning will be the guitarist Adam Levy who has quite an impressive resume himself (Norah Jones, Sex Mob, Amos Lee...).
